This is gonna make no sense.
There’s always a narrative going on while I play music from my favorite people: Marc Bolan, Bowie, Michael Jackson, The Clash, George Harrison…they take on these romanticized characters you know…
You see Marc Bolan is the cosmic messenger from above, but he’s so far up the people down below don’t get his message loud and clear. It comes out as esoteric words and otherworldly sounds. He’s the Starman Bowie sang about with the “hazy cosmic jive”. Bowie is the epic storyteller. Each Bowie song is a glimpse into another world. Bowie never appears to you in the same form. You travel far with Bowie—he takes you places. The Clash are men against the world—rebels with a cause. They are the most carnal characters, but they are able to do the most destruction. Michael Jackson is pure soul. He is so raw everything affects him. He takes in every impulse he receives and responds in beautiful song and dance. He’s Light and gets the attention of everyone, but he’s everywhere and doesn’t know how to control himself. George Harrison is new to my little music universe. I think he’ll be guiding everyone. He’s Understanding and Enlightenment.
See, I tolds you it wouldn’t make sense, but this is what happens when I listen to music. This is fun for me and when I come to love new people they’ll get a part in the story. I should probably record all this down and draw purty illustrations with it.
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever read…Please write more.
